Changing Up Your Routine

We thrive on routine—but the human body craves variety.

When I meet with new clients, I often hear,
“I go to the gym regularly and follow my routine, but I’m not getting the results I want.”

Here’s the truth: If you repeat the same exercises every week, your body adapts. That’s great for efficiency—but not for progress. Like the mind, the body gets bored. Without a new challenge, your routine starts to work against you, rather than for you.

Why More Isn’t Better

There’s only so much weight you can add, and only so many reps you can do before your joints protest. Pushing harder isn’t always the answer. The real key is smart variation—changing stimulus without overloading your body.

That’s where I come in.

How I Help

My clients consistently tell me they value how I keep their programs fresh. It’s not about random variety—it’s strategic change tailored to their goals and physical capacity. Because of my background in anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics, and sports massage, I don’t just throw new movements into a session. I assess your patterns, identify imbalances, and design modifications that improve performance without risking injury.

As you age, your fitness routine should evolve. My job is to make that evolution safe, rewarding, and sustainable.

Note from Selina:

While I’m no longer a practicing personal trainer, my years of experience in the fitness industry now inform my approach to bodywork and rehabilitation. At Selina’s Therapy Center, I specialize in sports massage designed to support active bodies—whether you're a gym-goer, athlete, or weekend warrior. These insights are shared to help you better understand your body and training habits, not as fitness coaching.
