Body Fat Percentage
Weight Loss · Healthy Lifestyle
A 2016 study of 50,000 middle-aged and older Canadians revealed that body fat percentage (BFP) is a far better predictor of obesity-related diseases and life expectancy than the traditional body mass index (BMI).
Understanding your BFP allows you to make more informed decisions about your fitness routine. It can mean the difference between a plan focused on reducing dangerous visceral fat and increasing muscle mass, versus one aimed solely at muscle tone and endurance. It also helps you move beyond the number on the scale—because what truly matters is your muscle-to-fat ratio, not just your weight.
To better serve my clients with the most effective tools, I’ve incorporated BFP tracking into my coaching practice. I recently invested in an InBody machine, a medical-grade body composition analyzer that measures muscle, fat, and water levels with precision.
Now, clients can track their progress accurately—and make data-driven decisions for a stronger, healthier body.
