Pain is rarely caused by one thing, so relief rarely comes from one treatment alone
WHY REFER HERE
Physicians, surgeons, and specialists excel at diagnosis, imaging, medication, injections, and surgical intervention. But many patients still experience pain, restricted movement, muscular weakness, or guarding after those treatments are complete.
Selina's Therapy Center provides the conservative, hands-on care and movement-based rehabilitation that often falls outside the scope of a medical visit. We work alongside your practice as part of an integrated care team, not as a replacement for medical treatment, addressing the soft tissue, mobility, and strength components of recovery so your patients get the full picture of care they need.
Our services include medical massage, orthopedic massage, and clinical bodywork for pain management and injury recovery, alongside corrective exercise and mobility therapy for patients rebuilding strength and function. We coordinate with physicians, chiropractors, orthopedic specialists, physical therapists, and nurse practitioners as a consistent resource for medical referrals across the Monterey Peninsula.
Tissue
Clinical, results-driven bodywork addressing tissue quality, muscular dysfunction, and chronic tension or guarding, not a spa-style relaxation service.
Medical & orthopedic massage
Movement
For patients whose pain or limited mobility is tied to weakness or poor movement patterns, retraining is an essential complement to hands-on bodywork.
Corrective exercise & functional movement
Strength
Building capacity where weakness contributes to pain, reinjury risk, or a patient's inability to return to full function.
Strength training for recovery
Nervous system
Chronic stress can delay healing and intensify pain. Addressing it is part of a complete, conservative recovery plan.
Stress & the healing response
Comprehensive therapeutic bodywork and movement therapy to support recovery and long-term wellness.
